Lyla made her professional stage debut as Annie, in Annie at age 12. Since then, she has worked at all the professional theaters throughout Central Florida, including the Orlando Shakes, Theatre South Playhouse, Garden Theatre, and Winter Park Playhouse’s OUTREACH program (for the 2nd time) bringing Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr. to Title 1 schools throughout Central FL. She won “Best Leading Actress in a Musical” at Breakthrough Theatre Company for her performance as Nora in Just Like I Wanted at the Orlando International Fringe Festival. She has worked on multiple commercials for brands such as “VRBO” and “WOW Sports” & filmed a series of educational videos for the companies “Can Do U” and “Level All”. Since the summer of 2023, she has worked as a teaching artist at Garden Theatre. She is currently attending NYU Tisch, New Studio on Broadway. Lyla is also the founder and executive director of the nonprofit organization letkidscreate.org.
